Back to Amsterdam

We got up for a fairly early start this morning. We headed back to Amsterdam, a two hour drive. We picked up Emma at the hotel and took her back to the airport to greet her team/group and drop off our car. We had coffee and a sandwich and then waited for their arrival.

Cecelia and Jonnie joined us at the airport and then we headed into the city center of Amsterdam. After strolling a while we had French fries with mayonnaise (very Dutch).

We then took a canal boat tour, a requisite activity in Amsterdam.

We joined back up with the girls for drinks and dinner. We had a very leisurely evening at a sidewalk restaurant having great beer and food.

We then headed back to the hotel via train. We have a full day tomorrow …

Travel tip: Amsterdam is a very easy city for Americans. It’s very international and the default universal language seems to be English.
